Can I sell a product without a patent? (and the risk to check first)

You don't need a patent to sell a product. The real risk is the reverse: someone else's active patent covering what you sell.

Prior art vs freedom to operate

A prior-art search asks "has this been done before?" A freedom-to-operate (FTO) analysis asks "would selling this infringe a live patent?" FTO is a legal opinion that needs an attorney. Our report is a prior-art first look and is not an FTO opinion, but it does show you the closest patents so you know what to ask about.
